Mr and Mrs Woodcock installed a Best Value Home lift at their bungalow in Guernsey.
“Although we are all still quite capable of using the stairs, we are looking to stay here long-term and want to be able to utilise the whole house as we get older. Seeing how restricted my father’s life became when he could no longer manage stairs was a major influencing factor in our decision to purchase a lift,” explains Mrs Woodcock.
After extensive research, the couple chose an Swedish lift, impressed by its style and functionality. “We liked the Swedish design and lifting mechanism which we thought would be robust. We also liked the idea of being able to get a wheelchair into the lift should we need to in the future. At the same time, we wanted a lift that would blend in and we were impressed at how you could customise this lift to do just that. We chose a white frame with wooden floors, mirror and light and bi-fold doors with opaque glass to match others in our home.”
