Sandy White and Peter Greenwood installed a Premium Home Lift at their South Coast beach front home. Set over three storeys with a panoramic sea view, the couple bought this property as a forever home and so took steps to ensure that it would suit their needs long into the future.
“We decided to install a lift to futureproof our home as part of an extensive modernisation project. With principal rooms on the middle floor to make the most of the view, we wanted to find one that wouldn’t dominate or detract from, but instead add to, our contemporary open plan vision for our main living space,” Sandy commented.
To create the desired aesthetic, a mix of doors was specified, with fire doors on the ground and upper floors and full glass on the all-important middle floor. To remain fit for as long as possible, Sandy confesses she currently tries not to use the lift too much! “However, it is exceptionally helpful for family members and when we’re carrying suitcases and shopping!
